Sanctus

Into thy light I stepped, mesmerized by the radiance of your abode, I was.

In awe I gazed at the magnificence of your dwelling here amongst men,

And then I pondered on what the glory of your unseen abode on high would be, indeed it must be glorious.

All creation great and small, you forged from nothing.

A creator whose beginning is void of knowledge,

A being all knowing, an essence all mighty, and all encompassing.

Standing here in your presence, I am petrified by the flicker of your essence,

Shaken to the bones by the glory of your abode.

How can a shallow mind, vain as mine ever be worthy of your gaze.

Emmalase.
