The faceless fellow

He came with a heart seeking tame, and reeking shame.

His endless wallow in the gallows of vice, a faceless fellow in the mirror speaking of chance.

Too late for lies, too late for chance. Now the cup of atonement is unavoided and the gulp of judgement is unpended.

And so he stood amongst Gods and Men, and amidst the odds of them. And the words were spoken, and the spoken was written.

Then on his knees he fell and bellowed, seeking another chance for the faceless fellow.

And the many watched in awe and wonder, will the hand of fate be altered, the many pondered.

Emmalase.
