A creature of immense adaptability I have become,
Bending my rigid self to conform with my immediate sphere.
An actor of immense capabilities I’ve learnt to be,
Faking smiles while walking the miles of a path undesired but crucial for my survival.
Reinvented by the artistic hands of necessity,
I dance to the rhymes of an unfamiliar song which I must now learn and be one with if I am to thrive.
Staring intently at my reflection, I realize the echoes of my early dreams in life are now silent,
Aspirations and prospects of who I wanted to be,
Now locked and cast away, giving way to life’s redefinition.
I guess I refused to go under life’s ever-changing current,
And so I learnt to ride its tides.
Change is constant, and life is all-encompassing.
