Lamentation

So silent it has been, that my thoughts are all I hear.

So quiet it has been that your words I can’t seem to find.

Temptations and tribulations finding way to doubt.

Disappointments causing the seed of doubt to sprout.

Stay with me and abide with me,

Speak to me so strength might course through me,

Hold onto me and don’t forsake me.

My strength is failing and spirit frailing,

The shrouds are circling and hounds prowling,

Stretch forth your hands lest I drown,

Shine your light lest darkness steals me away.

Stay with me and abide with me,

Speak to me so strength might course through me,

Hold onto me and don’t forsake me.

Have I fallen so far that you can’t reach me,

Am I drowning so deep that you can’t save me,

Say something so I know you are listening,

Call to me, so I know you still care.

Stay with me and abide with me,

Speak to me so strength might course through me,

Hold onto me and don’t forsake me.

Emmalase.
