Fear

No one is actually fearless. We all are afraid of something.

Fear, a reminder that we are mortals, puny, liable to demise timely or untimely.

It comes and sometimes goes, other times its there to stay.

Fear, a feeling inciting chills, goosebumps and terror.

Also breeding carefulness and awareness in all life forms.

An element that defines men brave and bold, also cowardly and timid.

Men tremble in its presence, limbs frozen like ice. Broken words, spoken in fragments.

A force within, forging battles ending and unending. Some won, others lost.

A presence ever close, never so far.

Emmalase.
