The Green

I gazed into the horizon and into the vastness of everything.

So uniformed, so in line and in form they all stood.

Speaking a single tongue, and dancing to the same song.

Clustered in hoard they are, feeding and seeding from the same pool,

Basking in the same ray of heavenly beams, they are.

Understanding, and realising the beauty in unity and so they embrace each other,

Both barren and fruitful, tall and short, slender and broad.

They were here before we came, and are witnesses to all that was made.

But how would we ever hear them, how would we ever learn from them, if we never listen to them.
