A man thought of the best way to conquer men, and forever bind them in invisible chains. He had nothing, but wanted everything. He knew men placed value on things that are rare. The rarer it is, the more valuable it is. Gold and silver with their glitter, diamond and it’s luster, he so dearly wanted. “How do I give what I don’t have but take what I want”, he thought.

One day, he took a piece of paper, and with ink drew captivating figures of powerful men, and numbers on it. And so he thought, “if I could convince these powerful men to place much value on this paper, make them believe it’s the easiest and most efficient way to trade, then the rest will have no choice but to follow”.

At first, many laughed at him and called him a mad man. In the old days, you only gave what you have in exchange for what you want, overtime men offered gold, silver and very rare stones, but here comes this man who wants to exchange nothing for everything.

Power yearns for more power, and with it comes control. And so it was the invention of what we now call money. The visible hands that sway all things, an embodiment of nothingness, yet controls everything, a shadow above all, clouding, bending, making and breaking.
